This week, we’ve rolled out a set of improvements in the Citymove app with one clear goal: to make parking in Prague’s residential zones simpler and reduce the most common user errors. Rather than one major change, this update brings several targeted improvements across key parts of the app – from starting a parking session, through time management, to vehicle selection.

A smoother parking flow from start to finish

We’ve redesigned the parking process to make it:

The app now guides users step by step, without unnecessary decisions along the way. Each step follows logically, so it’s always clear what you’re setting and what happens next.

Better license plate visibility when starting parking

One of the most important updates is the improved visibility of the license plate during the parking setup.

  • the risk of accidentally paying for the wrong car is reduced

This directly addresses one of the most common issues in parking apps.

Faster and more intuitive time adjustments

We’ve improved how you adjust your parking duration.

  • the app responds faster
  • you can now quickly add 30 minutes with a single tap

This is especially useful when your plans change and you need to extend your parking quickly without going through multiple steps.

Updated vehicle selection logic

We’ve also updated how vehicle selection works.

The app now:

  • no longer relies on automatic preselection without user awareness
  • requires users to actively confirm their vehicle

This significantly reduces the chance of parking with the wrong license plate.

The goal isn’t to add friction, but to ensure users stay in control of their selection.

Improved overview of parking and vehicles

The update also brings better overall clarity:
